Easy Spicy and Creamy Paleo Keto Pork Chop Recipe
This Spice Rubbed Creamy Pork Chops Recipe is a tasty combination of spicy and creamy flavors. The meat is rubbed in a mix of basil, black pepper and paprika. The creamy sauce is a combination of coconut milk, pork stock, onions, apple cider, herbs and some garlic leaves.
Easy Recipe Adaptations
Garlic leaves have a milder flavor than cloves of garlic. The flavor is similar to chives and scallions, so you can use these in place of garlic leaves. If you want heat in your pork chops you can also add on some dried chili to your spice rub mix. Pork broth has been used in this recipe which you can substitute for any broth or stock of your choice.
Spice Rubbed Creamy Pork Chops Recipe
2 to 4 servings
- 2 to 4 pork small to medium pork chops of your choice
- 1 level teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- half a teaspoon mixed herbs
- half a medium sized chopped onion
- 8 to 10 sliced garlic leaves
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- half a cup pork broth or stock ( or any broth or stock of choice )
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil of your choice ( use less if you have a fatty pork chops )
- Fresh herbs of choice for garnishing ( optional )
Make up the spice rub by mixing very well the basil, black pepper, paprika and a pinch of salt.
Ensure the pork chops are dry by blotting out any moisture with a kitchen towel, then lay them flat on a plate or cutting board.
Sprinkle on the half the spice rub and press it onto the meat so it sticks on, then turn the steaks over to the other side and do the same with the remaining spice rub.
In a pan at medium heat add your cooking oil ready to fry the pork chops.
Fry the pork chops until they have browned on one side, before turning them over to fry on the other side. About 5 minutes each side at medium heat.
Once the pork chops are done take them off the pan and set them aside in a warm plate, while making the sauce.
Add the chopped onions to the pan and fry them for about a minute, then add the garlic leaves and mixed herbs.
Mix and add on the broth or stock of your choice and bring to a simmer.
Add coconut milk and apple cider vinegar.
Bring to a simmer, add a pinch of salt and taste, and add more if needed.
Add the pork chops to the sauce and take it off the heat
Leave the chops sit in the sauce for a minute or two before serving
