Green bananas, or simply unripe bananas are a good source of resistant starch. In this recipe they are combined with rooibos gelatin, which is simply brewed rooibos tea with grass fed gelatin that has set and just kept handy in the fridge to blend in the drinks. You can also make this drink from scratch by brewing rooibos and then cooling it, blooming the gelatin and then blending in with the bananas to make this drink.
1 or 1/2 a green banana, 2 to 4 tablespoons rooibos gelatin(can be substituted with other gelatin), half a cup berries, 1 cup water
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend.
Enjoy the benefits of your smoothie with resistant starch benefits from the green bananas as well as the benefits of healthy connective tissue from the gelatin.
