This bowl is made with plantains, nut butter and green tea gelatin. It’s topped with honey and cinnamon. Besides the Vitamins and Minerals contained in Plantains, they are also a good source of resistant starch , the kind your good gut bacteria fuels up on. You can also use green bananas or unripe bananas which are also a good source of resistant starch.
For the plantain peel off the skin with a knife and chop ready for the blender.
2 teaspoons gelatin dissolved in half a mug green tea, 1 plantain or unripe banana peeled and chopped,2 tablespoons nut butter of your choice,1 coffee mug coconut milk diluted with water,half and half, more or less depending on your preference, sweetener of choice
Blend all ingredients and pour into serving bowl and leave to set overnight
GELATIN BOWL TOPPING
Use whatever you like with choices ranging from coconut milk flavoured with honey, vanilla, different types of fruit and berries, all within your protocol of course. You can also have it plain or try the topping below
PAPAYA HONEY MIX
Mix diced papaya with a bit of honey and add just before serving.
You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon
