Mango Lime Chicken Wings
Paleo and AIP Easy Mango Chicken Wings
This Mango Lime Chicken Wings recipe combines a simple mango sauce made up of mangoes, lime and parsley to make a sweet citrus chicken dish. These sweet chicken wings are ideal as an entree, as a protein snack or however you want them. The wings are pan fried with garlic until well done, then set aside to make the mango and lime sauce to toss them in.
If you get full wings that haven’t been cut just cut them on their 3 joints to separate them and save the wingtips for when you make your chicken stock or broth.
Easy Recipe Adaptations
You can use lemon juice instead of lime juice in this recipe. You can swap out parsley for dill herb or coriander leaf or use other herbs of your choice.
Mango Lime Chicken Wings Recipe
3 to 6 servings
- 12 wings
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- A quarter teaspoon ground turmeric
- half a cup chopped mango
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
Prepare to cook the wings by sprinkling them with salt and ground turmeric.
In a pan at medium heat, fry the chicken wings in coconut oil with garlic added on, for about 5 minutes each side until they are done and start to look golden brown.
Take the wings off the pan and add the chopped mango and cook, while smashing the mango with a fork to a sauce.
Once the mango is mashed up add the lime juice, olive oil and parsley.
Add the chicken back into the pan and toss it through the mango lime sauce.
Leave it cook until the the liquid dries out or is reduced and the sauce is coating the chicken.
