Kiwi Fruit Avocado Banana with Carob
This quick and easy Paleo Kiwi Fruit Avocado Banana with Carob desert is served with a tasty Creamed Honey Carob Sauce. Carob is tasty, but unfortunately it’s always being compared to Cocoa, with cocoa always coming up tops, and also used as the “substitute” to cocoa for those who can’t have cocoa, because the two look similar in powder form, even though as plants they are nowhere near related at all. Carob should just be enjoyed for it’s own unique flavors, as well as it’s own unique nutritional benefits. The bananas used in this recipe are green bananas which have resistant starch which is beneficial for gut bacteria. If you don’t have green bananas you can still make the desert with ripe bananas though they lose this starch as they ripen.
2 to 6 Servings
2 peeled Kiwifruit, 1 Avocado, 1 frozen green banana, 1/2 a lemon juice
Blend all the ingredients together.
CREAMED HONEY CAROB SAUCE
2 tablespoons Carob Powder, 1 tablespoon Raw Honey, 3 tablespoons Coconut Milk
Mix the ingredients together to a smooth paste. Carob Sauce will thicken the longer it sits as Carob is a thickener as well. So add more milk or Carob to your desired thickness.
Layer your desert anyway you like and even add extra fresh kiwi fruit at the top, or bottom or any other fruit you like.
