This Minty Dark Chocolate Matcha Latte combines coconut milk, some mint leaves, vanilla, dark chocolate and some matcha tea to make this enjoyable hot drink. The recipe uses shredded coconut as instant milk when blended in hot water with other ingredients. You can also use coconut flakes instead of the shredded coconut. Fresh mint is also used in the recipe as the drink will be seived after blending. The chocolate is not blended in the drink but is used as a topping. You can substitute chocolate with Carob if you’re allergic to it or just prefer not to have it. To make the Minty Matcha you’ll need the following ingredients,
Minty Dark Chocolate Matcha Latte Recipe
4 to 6 tablespoons shredded coconut, 4 cups water, 1 teaspoon or more matcha tea, 1 vanilla bean, dark chocolate/carob to top your drink
Boil the water and transfer to a blender, with all the other ingredients except the chocolate
Leave it sit for a minute with a lid on before blending.
Lift off the lid to let the steam out before blending and then blend all the ingredients together
Pour into a plunger or through a sieve to filter your drink. Sweeten if you like and top with grated chocolate or carob
