BITTER MELON TURMERIC SMOOTHIE
This Bitter Melon Turmeric Smoothie recipe is made up of a combination of ingredients packed full of health benefits. Bitter melon, Ginger, Turmeric, Unripe bananas, Cinnamon, Pears, Olive Oil with the option of sweetening with stevia leaf, raw honey, maple syrup or whatever you like within your diet protocol. This drink is not bitter at all. These nutritionally powerful and strong flavored ingredients blended together make a unique creamy earthy flavor as the Olive Oil seems to tone down the drink and bring the flavors together. Choose a good Olive Oil for your blends. Be warned though that bitter melon lowers blood sugar, good for those with high blood sugar issues and not so for those with low blood sugar, so those with blood sugar issues should follow their health practitioner advice regarding use of this vegetable.
BITTER MELON TURMERIC SMOOTHIE RECIPE
To make this blend you will need
1 unripe or green banana, 1 pear, 1/2 a small to medium bitter melon, 1 tablespoon grated fresh turmeric, 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, 1/2 a teaspoon cinnamon powder, 2 tablespoons of good Olive Oil, Sweetener(2 stevia leaf or 1 tablespoon raw honey or 1 tablespoon maple syrup are all good), about 750 ml or 3 cups water.
Remove the insides on half the bitter melon, peel banana and wash your stevia leaves and pear
Grate Ginger and Turmeric
Chop up pears and bananas as well and blend all the ingredients together with water.
You can leave some ingredients like turmeric, ginger, cinnamon or even olive oil for topping your smoothie after blending if you like.
Tasty with benefits ranging from being anti inflammatory, insulin like properties to being surprisingly tasty considering the strong flavors of the ingredients individually.

- 2 stevia leaf or 1 tablespoon raw honey or 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 750 ml or 3 cups water
- Blend all the ingredients together and enjoy.
