This beef ribs bone broth soup is so easy to make. To make this soup you’ll need bone broth or ideally be in the process of making some broth with your bones still in the cooker, so you can throw in your beef ribs to slow cook in the broth towards the last 4 to 5 hours of your broth making. You can also do this meal by simply slow cooking your meal in broth if you already have some handy. You can also substitute beef ribs with oxtail, beef cheeks or other cuts that work well in slow cooking methods. You can also vary the vegetables from the ones used in this recipe.
Beef Ribs Vegetable Bone Broth Soup Recipe
4 or more cups bone broth, beef ribs/oxtail/beef cheeks/ , small sweet potatoes, carrots or any root vegetables, broccolli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage or any leafy greens
If you already have bone broth just top it up with equal amounts of water. Add the meat and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat and slow cook for 4 to 5 hours.
If you’re in the process of making bone broth when there is about 4 to 5 hours left to your broth cooking add in the chunks of meat cut into serving sizes and leave it cook with the bones.
30 minutes before the end of cooking add the root vegetables whole or cut up a bit. This is your carrots and sweet potatoes.
Add the leafy greens towards the last 2 to 5 minutes depending on how well cooked you like them, as these will cook quickly
Season with salt, add any herbs if you like and get the vegetables out first and slice what needs to be sliced. Vegetables cooked in broth are so tasty.
